Did you know that according to Buddhist teachings, attachment is the primary source of suffering?! If that’s true, then letting go, non-attachment, would be our “get out of pain” for free pass!
Whenever we travel or move somewhere new, we enjoy the process of getting to know the culture, the people, the traditions. Since being here, we have been so overwhelmed with the kindness of both locals and expats.
I can hardly deny that today has been a good day. Although we are in the middle of our transition from Calgary to Nicaragua, and it feels like our apartment is upside down, we are checking things off the check list one item at a time.

I feel very lucky to say that I lived in Bermuda for 10 years. Very lucky! I spent most of my 20’s on the island and during that time I worked as an underwriter and had a bit of a jet setting life.
I learned a really valuable lesson recently. People often talk about being authentic and I have generally believed that I live an “authentic life”.
It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. Partially because writing doesn’t come naturally for me, and partially because I just don’t know if people really care what I think.
